Curtis, your photo gallery is amazing. I thought I’d just take a quick look, but that turned out to be impossible – there’s so much variety, and such an artistic, imaginative quality to your choice of images. At one point during rehearsal, I told Mike Spencer (who politely indulged my flight of fancy) that the half-lit pit band members reminded me of images from “belle epoque” (late 19th century) French posters and impressionist art works, Toulouse Lautrec, Manet and Degas especially. The Follies Bergere-like dance costumes certainly added to the effect, at least for me. Turns out Degas actually turned up to record images from this show, but through your camera and eye….. Although I expected some pretty striking photos to be generated along the way, I had no idea we’d have the privilege of seeing anything this good. I’m in awe of your talent…..
