What a great and culture-filled weekend here in Flin Flon. I can’t even really begin to describe how fun it was to perform at last nights Wild Rice event.
First – getting to perform with The Mix (Stacey, Rugged, Mark and Dave) and also with Brent and Susan Lethbridge just provided me with a great deal of fun. Also – getting to hear the other local performers doing their thing impressed me just as much – so much talent in this town, people who’s tastes and talents cover many flavours – making it quite the night.
Thank you for the invitation to play – thank you for listening. :-)
****Stay tuned for some live videos taken last night of a few of the songs we did.
Today is my younger brothers birthday – and so I celebrate this blessed day by sharing a photo of him when he was a young little whipper-snapper. Before the ‘change’. :-) Hahah!!
Love you bro!
BOOTY TOOCH THURSDAY salutes Lisa Simpson; an exemplary 8 year old little girl!!! Springfield is full of colorful characters but for today I salute Lisa: highly intelligent, a great saxophone player, vegetarian, feminist, environmentalist and a supporter of gay rights, and the Free Tibet movement. Just a general all-round advocate for political issues. I’ve always been drawn to Lisa, such an endearing character; somewhat of a ‘misfit’ in her family but LOVED and cherished regardless. ***Here’s to EVERYONE who carries a little bit of Lisa in themselves!! HAVE A GREAT DAY FOLKS!!!!!!
